Taekwondo Script Ceramics 


Set in stone, the beauty and philosophy of the calligraphy of General Choi Hong Hi, founder of Taekwondo and master calligrapher, in hand formed, high fired stoneware and porcelain by Krystyna Sargent, as vases, scrolls and plaques.  The calligraphy was originally written using both Korean and Chinese script.

TAE KWON DO in Korean script.
TAEKWON-DO JUNGSHIN (TENETS)  Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self Control, Indomitable Spirit. The script is more literally translated as "TAE KWON DO - SPIRIT - RESPECT EACH OTHER - BE RIGHT - BE PURE - BE HUMBLE - BE PATIENT - SELF CONTROL - PERSEVERANCE.  In Chinese script.
RESPECT: "Respect the King, the Teacher and the Father Equally" in Korean script..
TAEKWONILSIN "Whole Life Devoted to Taekwondo"  in Chinese script.
SIGNATURE: The signature of General Choi in Chinese script as it appears alongside the Tenets script.
